The Concept of Slope: Graphing Equations and Inequalities

This directed case study is designed for an intermediate algebra course, appropriate for high school mathematics and lower division college mathematics. The ideal class size for running the activity is generally between 16 and 20 students. The main objective is to help students understand the concept of the slope of a line and be able to explain the definition in an applied scenario. After completing this case study, students should be able to graph a line and linear inequality.
